A Message from FCHS Coach Nick Eversole

    FCHS Coach Nick Eversole

FTYF works directly with the Middle School and High School coaches in Franklin Township.  Recently, we asked Coach Nick Eversole his thoughts about Franklin Central Flashes Football and how FTYF plays into his program in the future.

    Coach Eversole:

"I have been a football coach at Franklin Central for 8 years. This is a special township with special people and I am excited to take over as the head football coach at Franklin Central! The football players in this community have coaches that expect excellence, hold them accountable, encourage them to enjoy the game and to help mold great young men!

Having a strong Franklin Township Youth Football program is vital to the success of our program. The youth league is where players are first exposed to football and where we want them to learn to love this game. This is where they begin to understand what being Flash is all about! We will work together with FTYF and the Franklin Central Junior high to ensure players are taught to enjoy playing the game but also that they understand the work ethic and attention to detail it takes to be great. At each of these levels the players will be taught similar fundamentals, techniques, style of play and values that will help prepare them to eventually be Varsity Flashes on Friday nights while playing the greatest game on earth!"

      2020 FTYF PLAYOFF SCHEDULE

      2020 ALL STAR TRYOUTS - 1st THRU 6th

All Star tryouts for all football players for grades 1st thru 6th grades are scheduled for August 27th and September 3rd at the location provided on the map.

We will have all star teams for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.  Those 1st graders selected to be all-stars will play for the 2nd grade team.  We recommend that those parents of 1st graders that believe are ready for 2nd grade all-stars reach out to their coaches for feedback and recommendations before attending tryouts.

All tryouts are full pads and there will be hitting/tackling.

Anyone selected to an all-star team will be required to pay an additional $75 for uniforms/decals.

We are planning on to participate in 3 postseason tournaments starting the Saturday of October 10th.
